Strange

This morning my wife went canvassing for the Greens, and I, a disenfranchise Brexile simply went shopping. Today's latest anti-green fake news was that the Greens want to ban Le Tour de France. Which certainly isn't Green policy. One town refused to stump up the €800k to host a start/stop given the current situation and now it's apparently official Green policy.... As usual all the fruit loops shout in your face, don't wear masks and won't leave you alone. They will probably vote for the local Natation Front nutjob who wants to x-ray immigrants children to make sure they they children.... The National Front don't seem to have any actual politics, but seem to appeal to vague notion of Frenchness and being nasty to foreigners (like me who pay tax and are doing our best to integrate).

In the afternoon I did some IT things, getting my sister-in-law's computer ready to return to them. Upgrading the RAM, swapping the slow old HDD for a fast SDD and upgrading from Windows to Linux has made a huge difference to the computer and it's very usable now. I had some minor technical things to do on the security front and once those were done that only really leaves optimising the desktop for them now.

Saturday is pizza and crêpe for dinner, and we are starting to get strawberries in the bit of garden that isn't a building site, as you can see from this photo, they are all a little odd with these strange appendages at the bottom of them... We have to watch them like a hawk of the slugs eat them up. Once the pizza had gone, down I zapped a bowl of them in the microwave to get get them warm and mushy, and then they went inside a crêpe...! Contrary to the English who only think you can eat them cold with cream (which isn't the best), the French are happy to cook them, which drastically improves the flavour of most strawberries.
