Field of barley

A late big breakfast with time to sneak out for a walk, calling in at Doreen’s with emergency supplies.

The remainder of the day, like all Sundays at the moment, focus on Doreen, taking her out, back for dinner and getting her to do her homework (writing a card for her granddaughter today)

A lovely sunny day with a bite to the northerly wind so I think she enjoyed being inside the garden centre rather than being pushed up and down the prom at the seaside. The field of barley bending and waving to that wind made today’s blip. A startling cluster of poppies pushed it close.

Thank you for your comments on the proposed allotment site. It would be an act of environmental vandalism to plough up and remove trees even for an allotment. At least two of the Parish councillors are frustrated by the Chair’s approach.
