An open garden and a beautiful house

F and I went to visit two gardens that were open for charity today.  This one we've always admired, it's late Victorian villa with it's original sash windows.  F enjoyed chatting with the owner about it's features and he spotted three different styles of brick bonding in it.  

The other garden was beautiful too and  we bought more plants from the plant stall. There was music from a folk group and a Scottish piper too aswell as refreshments.

When we got back to my house we sat in the garden and spotted the first Common Blue butterfly of the year on my cotoneaster which is the extra.
