Through The Cracks…

Life is bursting up all over at the moment.
Little flecks of colour dotted amongst the vibrant green which has exploded everywhere over the last few days.

Today this flower has appeared through the gaps in the wall surrounding my patio.
I guess in conventional gardening terms it would be considered a weed.
I didn’t put it here.
It’s in the wrong place.
Disordered.

But it’s beautiful watching the flower following the sun this morning.
Who am I to decide where it should grow?
Isn’t the whole essence of nature the beauty that comes from the chaos.
The little surprises that bring us such joy as new life appears completely unexpectedly.

How much more beautiful could gardens be if we weren’t so intent on the well manicured lawn and the perfect flower beds?
What do we miss by removing something before it gets a chance to grow?
