Gillipaw's Journal

Eagle Lectern, Glasgow Cathedral

At the rear of the building, beyond the chancel, it looked beautiful today as the sunlight streamed in through the windows. They don't make them like this any more. A little hint of the colourful stained glass too.

A tricky decision on what to straighten, when there is an uneven floor, old furniture and century old walls.

This encouraging verse, sent to me by my brother in law last week, fits with the image rather well. Interesting how the two came together today.

But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40 v 31 (New International Version)
