A Meandering Life...

On Track

Leeming Bar Station, on the Wensleydale Railway and midway between the limited service on offer at present from Bedale to Scruton*. Leeming Bar is also know for RAF Leeming.

In extras you will see the Leeming Bar Community Hub, a project run by the residents association who bought the carriage to use for community activities because there isn't a village hall. It can be rented out for parties, meetings or anything that might need the space. It is even used as a polling station.

Behind it are 2 retired northern class 142 Pacers or to the railway, donkeys! These are not your traditional heritage railway stock but one day they might. Until then they are trying to raise money to keep them watertight.

*Scruton Station: On the 1st June last year I Blipped the station when we travelled up from Kent on a recce of the area in view to a move. It was just a day visit because of the rules of travel at the time. How things have changed for us in the past 12 months.
