Goldfinch

Another hot day - shorts, t-shirt, and fan all required today.

Had a good work day - although my new laptop seemed to be running very slowly by the end of it.  I gave up about 6pm and went for a walk instead - much nicer.  I spotted a few birds flitting about on this nicely wild bit of heath, so stopped and zoomed in on a couple, and saw they were goldfinches - snacking on the dandelion seeds, I think.  Considering I'd never seen a goldfinch in the flesh until this year, this sight was quite a treat!  (I think I am becoming a bird nerd.)

Called my Mum this morning, as she had been for a hospital appointment yesterday.  Sounds like it went well, I'm glad to say.
