That's what I call "Patina"!

I saw this sign and was impressed with the overall detail in the piece. Then, upon closer inspection, I noticed the incredible patina on the letters and the background. I guess I wouldn't have been quite so impressed if the sign had been made of metal and the patina was rust, but this one was WOOD! It looks like it may have spent some extended period of time in a very humid climate before being transported to the high desert.

No matter how the patina happened, I like the look, and thought it worthy of being my photo for today. Enjoy!
