When one door closes.....

go find an open one..................!

We interrupt this series within a series (Alley Art: Abstractions) for a PSB (Public Service Blip).  Please view on black field.

Drove an hour and a half north to the Jemez Mts. (pronounced hay-mez)  The plan was to hike the Walatowa Canyon, a red rock slot canyon a friend had once told us about and given us directions.  Very excited to see these red rocks, we arrived at the car park only to discover that because of COVID, the Pueblo and its lands were off-limits to non puebloans.

Bummer!  Excitement now feeling like a deflated balloon, we started back home, but still craved an adventure with a good workout.  A road turned left and wound up a serpentine trail through the Jemez Mts. going from paved to gravel to dirt...higher and higher we rose until we reached a ridge with a small, unnamed marker that said no motorized vehicles allowed.  That's all it said.  Intrigued, we parked, climbed a hill to the ridge and looked down. No way nature investigators were going to pass this up!

When one door closes, maybe magic is waiting around the corner :-)
Extras:
1. I encounter lizard beings etched by eons of time
2. "Hey guys. Why wasn't I notified the Zoom meeting had turned into a field trip?"
