Day 2 Napier

As was our usual practice when we lived in Napier, we met other walkers from Run/Walk Hawke’s Bay at 7:30am and went for a two-hour walk, followed by coffee, a nibble and a chat.  Great! The left hand photo is a sculpture out by the airport, top centre is a line of new beach chairs on the shore at Ahuriri and the right hand photo is a different view of the boat harbour at Ahuriri (showing the entrance from the sea at the far end).  After the walk and talk hubby and I wandered around Ahuriri poking our noses into shops and galleries, just enjoying ourselves.  It was another glorious day.  We went to the supermarket briefly to buy some nibbles and wine to take to the 60th birthday party, which is where we saw the Art Deco mural at bottom centre of the photo on a wall near Clive Square.  The party was a lot of fun - haven’t been to a party for such a long time.  Everyone dressed up to the nines and there was lots of chat and laughter.  Fab!
