If you can't beat them...

Rhododendron

A day round home so blips from the garden.  This white Rhododendron caught my eye.  At one time I was totally confused as to whether a plant was an Azalea or a Rhododendron.  Then I learned a simple way to tell, well when they were in flower at least.

This blip shows how to  tell.  The dark dots in the centre of the flowers are the stamens.  Count them!  The Azalea has five while the Rhododendron has 10.   Simples as the advert insists on saying.
