Matilda & Mates

Today I met the other members of the Yorkshire Dales Classic Car Club for the first time. We gathered in Northallerton and by the end of the run out Matilda had covered 60 miles. The route is listed below which was mainly up and over the western side of the North York Moors.

My pano shot shows Matilda behind the only other Morris Minor that attended, a 1953, 2 door saloon. A majority of the other members own MGs, there was an E Type Jag, Lotus and Spitty. Near the end of the run we adjourned for Sunday dinner in a pub in Swainby.

There were at least 20 vehicles and about 45 members on the run. We did pass other groups of classic cars travelling in the opposite direction.

Our route: Northallerton - Thirsk - Coxwold - Ampleforth - Helmsley - Chop Gate - Great Broughton - Stokesley - Swainby then home.
