Feather Dancer

If you ever get a chance to see the Crazy Horse Memorial, plan at least a half day to explore the site and learn the history. We were fortunate enough to have timed our visit to see the documentary film and watch the dancers.

The first full weekend of June they allow people to walk up to the top of the sculpture. (see extra) We didn't do it, but one day I am determined to do it. The area the people are standing is the outstretched arm. The drawing on the side is the outline of the horse that will eventually be sculpted.

I am grateful to have learned more about the amazing family that has kept this dream alive.
