Grasmere Amphitheatre

Lovely first full day.  We headed for Ambleside, via Loughrigg Fell after breakfast.  The views back over the lake to the village were exceptional.  While we were climbing up from Loughrigg Terrace we came upon a team from Fix the Fells and the National trust, building new paths where erosion had taken place.  We chatted for a short while and found out that they complete about 1 metre per day!  They'll be there for a few weeks/months yet!

The weather got better as the day progressed and we were glad that by the time the sun broke through we were heading down, rather than still climbing.
