Well done, that boat!

A most leisurely start to the day - we just sat on the back of the boat in the full sun and read. Well, there were occasional treats and bacon rolls at 11am. By 2pm the tide was just about to turn so we hauled up that anchor and set off down to Dorus Mor. The wind had been quite light but approaching the tidal races I was aware how much we’d speeded up to over 7kts. And how close the Black Rocks were. A yacht in front went through with bare poles but hey we coasted through silently under sail and executed a nifty gybe half way in. Clearly we’re locals, eh? Old hands (OK, that’s true).
And soon we were meeting real locals as we tied up at Ardfern to be met by the great Corinthian and his good lady, the wedding and puffin photographer. What a great place to end the voyage. I won’t tempt fate by laying out future plans but let's hope there are more days as enjoyable as this one had been. And then we stepped along to the local pub for one last fish and chips. Well, new potatoes for me. And plenty chips for her, thank gawd.
