Life after Burradoo, NSW

People who live in our house No 3

This lovely woman came home with us from Hong Kong in 2009. We spent 10 days there, including Christmas Day. It was wonderful.

We've always loved Hong Kong. We were last there in November 2019 - in the middle of the riots. It was so sad to witness. My better half had an altercation with a marble tile floor and fractured her nose. We spent 7 hours in the emergency department of a hospital in Mong Kok, not an experience we are keen to repeat. We were the only Europeans there and the medical staff were very kind to us. While we were there we saw a number of young protesters brought in in handcuffs and chains. They had been injured in the riots. We hope they are safe.

We suspect we will never return to Hong Kong and we worry greatly for the people there. At least we have our lovely lady. (She is 30cm tall.)

Major deadline passes tomorrow. Back to 'normal' life after that.
