Grey Poplars, Blairdaff

These Grey Poplars are a prominent feature on the eastern edge of Blairdaff, Aberdeenshire, standing right beside the road to Fetternear, Burnhervie and on to Inverurie.

I pass them regularly on my way to and from Inverurie, but strangely I have only ever blipped them once before, against a dramatic sky on 5th November 2010.

But driving home this evening, seeing them silhouetted against a clear, luminous evening sky, they once again caught my eye as a good subject for a photograph.
