Marwick Head

A great day birdwatching. We visited some of the many RSPB reserves and saw Hen Harriers,  and a good selection of ducks and water birds.
We walked up to the Kitchener Memorial on Marwick Head, and had wonderful views of thousands of nesting seabirds. There was a wonderful display of thrift in flower the whole way up, and the scent was amazing.
We ended up with tea at one of the best tea shops, at Birsay. See extra. We have found that some places are not open so it was great to find this one.
