1066 and all that……

Last day of our mini break and a visit to Battle Abbey, the great audio guide which filled the gaps in my knowledge improved the visit.  We wandered around Battle looking for a tea shop but surprising nothing appealing on the high street.  A quick google found a nice looking pub which had ploughman’s on the menu, however staff shortages meant we were told there was a long wait for food.  Another google and we found somewhere else before heading home to check on my greenhouse and garden. Thankfully Peter has come in a couple of times to water so everything looked ok.  I’ll make him a lemon drizzle cake tomorrow to say thank you.
