Anne and Ian's favourite shrub, their cistus

I visited Anne this morning to hand back some documents and we had coffee in their wonderfully pretty garden. Anne asked if I'd seen this plant before which she explained was a cistus. I thought it looked amazing. I love its colours.

Soon after the drizzle started and I only had time to snap a few pictures, including several other rather rare examples of more common plants.
