tempus fugit

Nonchalant

Here's Fred 10 days after his ear was buttoned and looking as cool as a cucumber despite being perched on top of the stove.
He's due to see the vet tomorrow to have the buttons removed with his ear safely sealed to prevent a recurrence of the haematoma (we hope.)  He's not interfered with them at all although his ear must feel oddly weighed down.

I haven't been blipping much because I find it very hard to make the time. There are always so many things competing for attention: the garden, the animals,  the cottage,  cooking/baking/fermenting,  walking the dog, emails, books, bits and pieces of voluntary work (the heritage centre, the community pantry) and so on. And none of this involves working at a job. It's called retirement. So I'm in awe of all you daily blippers - how do you do it, seriously??
And commenting is something else. Try again, fail again, fail better, as Samuel  Beckett said.
(I rarely go to bed before midnight and now it's 12.15am....)
