String tin

We have always kept our string in this old tin, and before that it belonged to my mother-in-law. Maybe she used it for string too, but we don’t know, National Dried Milk was produced in the 1940s and was dried full cream milk fortified with Vitamin D.
I needed the string tin to tie up a straggly plant. I have had a good gardening day, planting some of the plants I bought on Wednesday. At last there will be a bit of colour in our little courtyard.
