Puffin

I went over to Westray with the bike although the forecast was for showers and 25mph winds. And so it turned out. It also eased as the day went on, as the forecast said it would. I stopped, on the way back, at Castle o' Burrian, a sea-stack that is one of the best spots in Orkney for puffins. You park your cycle, or car, at a ruined mill, then follow the cliff path for about 5 minutes to the 'castle'. But today there were lots of puffins near the mill and they were nicely framed in the yellow birds-foot trefoil and the pink thrift (or 'sea-pink'). The extra is of a different bird nearby.
