Christening Cake #2

I made a christening cake for our friends. I made Swiss buttercream instead of normal buttercream but next time I will stick to my usual recipe. It was took so much longer, my shoulders hurt from whisking and the flavour of the filling was not as good as it didn't take on the berry flavour as well. It was humid and the cream wouldn't smooth properly. However, it looked good and was appreciated.
It was a lovely service and the 'baby' (19 months old) slept for half of the time then lay quietly for the rest. He seemed to know that he should behave as normally he is a human dynamo. The sun was shining and we had lunch at an outdoor restaurant then the cake and coffee.
