Blue sky day

Dull start soon replaced by sunshine, so on went the walking boots and I walked up the hill to the estate.  The “Anti-Vaxxers”. seem to have been busy - lots of stickers all over the signs and the newly installed parking meters!  Someone had also been busy trying to remove them.  The cygnets plus mum and dad were in a shady area at the side of the pond eating leaves off an overhanging tree, but the parents soon approached for the swan food I had with me.  Walked up and around Betty’s Wood and spotted the first foxgloves I’ve seen this year.  Great views over Bingley from up there.  There were also big bunches of Aquilegia growing in amongst the wildflowers.  Lots of memorials seem to be appearing on the trees - I liked the friendship heart.  Walked back on to the lower pathways and the Rhodies are looking good down there.  Lastly walked back through the lower field - awash with buttercups.  Lovely walk, and not too hot.  The estate was remarkably quiet except for the play area where a “Pirate Party” was taking place - lots of great costumes, but obviously out of bounds for photography with all the children etc!  Rest of day just “pottering” - really must get to grips with sorting “stuff”!
