Sgwarnog: In the Field

Staggered

A staggered crossroads of sorts, I liked the alignment of street signs at this meeting of the ways in Esholt. And very straightforward street names too: Main Street, Station Road, Church Lane & Chapel Lane. The building on the left is the old post office, and from this angle the notch created to allow a corner door makes for an interesting feature.

I’d walked down to the nature reserve and along the river. The warm but overcast conditions were good for damselflies and numerous Banded Demoiselle, but there were few butterflies about.

After a detour down to the old filter beds I returned up Cunliffe Lane, across the golf course, through Tong Park and home.
