Wound up in Wexford

A good crop of foxgloves in what we call the grass bed, though there are many other plants as well.

Having spent most of May complaining about the cold, it's now swung totally the other way, and it is too hot to work in the garden most of the day.  We get (sometimes) a bit done in the early morning, and then we are chased indoors until the late afternoon.  This evening we planted up the hanging baskets.  I know we're a bit late, but that's the result of taking a holiday.

Whilst keeping out of the heat, I got all 24 buttons sewn onto the second Advent calendar, so now they're both rolled up optimistically awaiting a trip to Sweden.  And I've tidied up my sewing area, ready to make a start on a new project.
