Spot the Common Sandpiper

Whereas in England it’s really hot it’s a lot cooler here. We’ve walked around Loch Morlich, a lovely wooded walk around the loch.

We stopped briefly for a snack and the midgies joined us for a nibble.

And the Common Sandpiper is sitting on the branch.

See the extras for the loch and the trees.

We then had lunch at the Rothiemurchus visitor centre. I had Cullen skink; it was yummy.

We then went for a drive passing through Nethy Bridge before going for a walk in Grantowm on Spey.

While sitting and relaxing I saw something go past the floor length window and it was a red squirrel. See the photo in the extra.

We’ve then cooked dinner and been for a walk around the lochan. A wonderful day
