Wierd

It was supposed to be a hot sunny day so we decided to go to Sea wood, where it would be shady. It wasnt sunny and not too warm but a nice walk. The woods already look different, and darker as the leaf canopy gets denser. 

We found these strange looking fungi growing on a dead tree. I've never seen anything like these before. 

Apparently they are  Polyporus Squamosus ( Dryads Saddle) 
According to Google, they are mushrooms and edible but only tasty when fresh! I will not put that to the test, knowing ny delicate stomach.
