Chocolate Hellebore

I think I have been mentioning this a bit lately. Compared to the double white one, it hides itself away. Even though it is in a more obvious position in the garden folk do just walk by and presume it is leaves rather than the stunning flower it is. I do wonder if it shows up to bees UV eyesight?

Temperature here has picked up again finally and the frost is slowly lifting out the soil and maybe this time spring can actually get going. We're sheltered from the sun with a hill to the south so even compared to areas around us, we're behind. Noticed my first tete-a-tete in flower here while have seen daffs fully out in Perth. Microclimates are great.
