The jungle river

Well, not quite. It's the Caley Canal in June. Many years ago in Peruvian Amazonia, we swam in a jungle river, the Rio Tambo, having been assured that it was safe to do so. The current carried you downstream, so you ended up 200 metres away from where you had left your clothes. Then they told us about the piranhas. So what was that tickle I felt?
