Charcoal burner

I cycled to where there were enormous coloured poppies last year but this year it's all just oversized daisies and chickweed. So I pootled through the woods and was happy to see how much the ferns had grown up, filling the gaps between the trees.

I was taking photos of the ferns when I saw the charcoal burner - I think they make charcoal and sell it and that helps to pay for the upkeep of the woods. 

It's our wedding anniversary today (42 years) so we're having takeaway Indian food and watching Pride and Prejudice. There may also be wine involved.
