Poppies

Following a tip-off from BlippingAlong yesterday, I persuaded Mr DA and Hector to go on a quick visit to The Trundle this humid afternoon to see the poppies there. It was definitely worth the effort and we weren't the only ones. It's also Sussex Day today, which celebrates the heritage of this wonderful county, so it seemed a good opportunity to showcase not just the beautiful South Downs but also the Trundle itself, being the site of an Iron Age hillfort and Neolithic causewayed enclosure.

In Extras: a hot dog.
