Very Old Plant

This plant is decades old - from the late 50s. Until just now I didn't know what it is. It's growing in my mother's back yard and she doesn't know it's name either. She's been calling it "Schlafblume - Sleeping Flower" because it's going to sleep by closing it's petals in the early afternoon.

Thanks to Mr Google I found out it's German name: It's a Dreimasterblume - and it's English name: Virginia Spiderwort. This one comes with a little critter....
Blip educates....   Let me know, if I'm mistaking, please.

A very hot day. To be continued.
No side effects after my vaccination.
