In the pines.

We didn't sleep there and today the sun certainly did shine (bit if a reference to Leadbelly's "In the Pines" https://youtu.be/2MkfTYPmLlA)

There was more sun and less wind today.

We decided to eat pizza for lunch as we were looking around the shops in Avemore, more walking socks required, so stopped at the Tomatin restaurant. Nice food and a beer or cider made for the desire to doze not walk but we powered through!

The walk was around Loch an Eilein and loch Gamhna with lovely views and through more beautiful pine forest. It was very peaceful not starting until around 4pm and delightfully warm.

As we started there was a pair of Bullfinches pecking around on the path in front of us. The scenery was superb.

On returning to the cabin we had some tapas style food rather than haggis, lunch was big!

I'm not an app person but do highly recommend 'picturethis' for identifying wild plants and flowers.
