I Found the Ladybugs!

This Echinops bannaticus - Globe Thistle - is, for some some unknown reason, always loaded with aphids this time of year. So much so that it causes the new foliage to curl up. I hadn’t checked it in a while and lo and behold, tonight it was covered with lady bugs!! Oh yay…do your work dear bugs!

This is a not very good phone shot of one of these lovelies munching on aphid larvae, I hope. There’s enough in the garden to feel a small army!

Spent the day with mom today, followed by a lovely late afternoon nine holes with a dear friend.
