Marsh Harrier - 60

The thunderstorms that were forecast failed to materialise and although there was some rain this morning the weather was much better than we expected. We spent the day at Strumpshaw Fen where amongst other things we saw a grasshopper warbler and a cuckoo as well as good views of the marsh harrier. The extras show a shoveler and willow warbler. Unfortunately the breezy conditions and dampness meant we saw no swallowtail butterflies.

Thanks for the kind comments for my photos over the last few days and apologies for falling behind in looking at your photos while I'm on holiday.
