The Woodland Garden (Monday 14th June 2021)

I'm still photographing the decayed iris flowers in the front yard, and intend to continue to the bitter end, trying to find new ways to photograph the gnarly twisting shapes of what remains, and create ever more abstracted images.

From the two abstracted images taken on this morning I adapted one for Mono Monday, but wasn't then in a position to upload it. Now it is Abstract Thursday but it can't go there because it is from Monday.

I seem to be working through backlogs of things in every area of life at present, as I inefficiently re-adapt to be being able to travel modestly, with things opening up just a little, and with the weather being sometimes more encouraging.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - Yesterday (recorded 14 June 1965, Abbey Road Studios)
Paul McCartney was the only Beatle to perform on this recording, made between 2100 and 2230 hr at Studio 2 on this day 56 years ago. A string quartet was added later in an arrangement composed by McCartney and George Martin. Although George Harrison and possibly other Beatles were still present after a group session from that afternoon, it was the first time none of the others had played on a Beatles record. It was a complete contrast to the throat-shredding vocal he had performed on I'm Down that afternoon. Two takes of Yesterday were completed and Take Two was chosen for the strings and an additional vocal from McCartney to be added on 17th June.
