Orchids

Delighted to find this morning that the Lesser Butterfly-orchids ( Platanthera bifolia)  on Arnside Knott have come into flower.

The Greater Butterfly-orchid is less common in the North although we do have them.
One of my early botanical lessons was how to tell the difference between the two.
