Poppy display

We had to take my new car back to Inverness for a problem with the 'clever' infotainment system (there's a word that irritates me straight away; much like the printout that tells us the car has had a 'health check'). Anyway, we took both cars down so we could at least get out and about with the dog.

At the suggestion of a friend we visited Rosemarkie Golf Club for lunch in the clubhouse (great views over the Moray Firth) which had this terrific display of poppies. And, of course, we wandered down to Chanonry Point just in case the dolphins decided to appear. Which they did. Magnificent, sleek animals busy about their salmon catching business and permitting us to look on and wonder.

I was utterly pooped as I got little sleep last night, so we spent the evening in a dog friendly pub and then headed for an early night. Good old Premier Inn - never fails.
