Eulogy

This lovely man, and I don't know who he is*, said the loveliest things.
I am so grateful to him.
And it seems that everyone had raided Step-brat's wardrobe and the service was awash with his personal choice of shirts. A lovely touch.
Very little was said, no hymns or prayers, just a selection of his own preferred music with family and friends sitting quietly remembering him and hugging each other, or themselves.
I was so glad I could “attend”.

Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty
oh won't you please take me home
so far away

* I now understand this to be Paul, "the work wife"
