Paddling with Cass

We took Cass, the golden retriever, and Gary with us to the woods this morning. Geordie really enjoys having a friend on walks. I think he still misses Hamish, whom we sadly lost last year.
It was almost like Geordie was showing the sights to Cass. When Geordie shot down the steep side of one of the dunes, Cass followed. The burn was beckoning. Gary and I just looked at each other as if to say, well, who’s going down for Cass. He’s quite an elderly dog, but he surprised us by climbing back up the soft sand himself.
This afternoon was spent drinking tea and having a good blether down at Mary-Ann’s.
