A Tranquil Moment in Orkney

More clearing at my Mum’s flat then across to the care home to take some of her things and to have a briefing with the Duty Manager.  Under the existing regime my mother will have to isolate for two weeks and will not be allowed visitors.

During the last visit with her in hospital, before her transfer tomorrow, she stunned CMC and me by asking about my brother Charlie in Australia.  Ninety years later and then she mentions it.  When she’s not muddled, she’s up to speed.  I had to get behind the screens and have a shot of laughing gas.

Good news is that the Merkister has a good supply of goujons in.
