Green Woodpecker

I wasn't even dressed this morning when I spied our green woodie out of the window so knowing I was heading up to Yorkshire for Father's Day the opportunity had to be grabbed. 

With the recent rain he was enjoying drilling the lawn for grubs. Not around for long but lovely to see. We normally get the babies here so we shall see what transpires this year. 

Great to see mum and dad in Yorkshire - took up a chocolate cake I made yesterday and had a good chat. Back home now though it's been a long day driving there and back but chilling now on the sofa with a cuppa, the dogs and doing this quick blip post before I crash out.
