T-Rex's Birthday Party

Bean declared it was T-Rex's birthday today, she was "four and six, mummy, what does that make?" He didn't see the difference between 64 and 46 so we're none the wiser as to her age.

Steve had to go to the doctors this morning and I asked him to come back with breakfast from the bakery - he brought back a fresh, still warm, Chia loaf (yeah it may be The Next New Thing but it really is pretty scrummy bread!), croissants, and a chocolate iced ring donut for Bean. Bean said it was T-Rex's birthday cake! So we added chocolate sprinkles, and a birthday indoor fountain firework. Or two. Bean was DELIGHTED! All his dinosaurs joined in with the birthday breakfast :)

Bear is mostly back to his normal chipper self, except he thinks he has more energy than he actually has so ends up simply lying down on the floor / sofa / stairs / wherever for a few minutes until he can muster the energy to get up again. His rash is moving across his body, but at least today piriton seems to be having an effect thank goodness. He's actually eaten something other than breastmilk today. A bit of croissant this morning, a slice of salami at lunch, and some noodles at dinner - which turned out to be too much too quickly and came straight back out. Poor Bear.

The job situation is starting to drive us a bit mad. Partly, it feels like we're back to square one again. Frustrating. Some amazing encouragements from friends though, that we're in God's training school of life again, training in faith, faith and more faith, being prepared for bigger things.... I need to print the words out that my friend told me. They need reading every day!!
