Hiding

We had a trip out West today, mainly because we had essential business that way, but we managed a quickish peek out of the hide at the RSPB reserve at The Loons. One of my favourite-named Orkney places and appropriate for the twitchy people that go there ;-) Best spot was a Godwit standing sentinel on a fencepost but too far away to decide if it was of the Bar- or Black-Tailed variety.

We had a very quick hike around the Ness Battery with Berry too. Gold star for dog behaviour and more confidence points for this neurotic dog owner. EllyJay, I WILL see you on a slower-paced day, I promise!
