Round at the Cousin's

A most productive and enjoyable day, oh yes, there was a trip to the supermarket and some planning of sailing. Here’s a thing, right - for many years I’ve been shaving with a Gillette (the best a man can get!) Sensor Excel razor. I foolishly left the handle on the boat so thought I’d get another. No! Although Gillette sell you sensor blades, if you want a handle you have to move up to a “Mach 3” or “Fusion 5” (what names!) - and what dear reader, are the cost of those blades? Aye, £2-3 or more each, rather than £1.24! eBay provides me with a counterfeit version. Ha!
And then the main event, for the SK’s aunt is 95 and we’d to sneak round to her son’s for a surprise party. She doesn’t hold with such things, declaring every year that she’s already too old and wishes she was gone. Maybe the number of white chocolates we gave her will speed her wishes.
Later, a swift beer over at Corinthia, the name for our new beer tent in the yard with assorted drouths before home and a walk out the breakwater in the midsummer evening light. The nights aren’t drawing in yet however - we’ve another week before that.
