Down by the station.....

.....early in the morning.

No puff-a-billies here this morning just the sun rising in the east, vibrant ripples through the sky becoming softer looking down the line. Street lights shining brightly as dawn breaks across the waking town, it wasn't a quiet place to be.

Across the tracks workmen were loading trucks under a floodlit yard while the drone of traffic picked up with people heading to work. Without any warning the street lights were off, all felt a little dark for just a minute or two.

Far away there came a small toot, then a few more as the Coastal Pacific, Christchurch to Picton passenger train came into sight with its bright white light. The red lights down the line turned blue, the bells were ringing as the barriers went down but the station was empty, no travellers today. The train whooshed passed and snaked its way up the line leaving me listening to the clicky-clack on the tracks and again the distant toot as the sunrise faded away.

This was the better part of my day, from here things just turned to custard as they say, one thing led to another, looking forward to another day tomorrow AND its the weekend, that's gotta be a plus :)

Happy weekend to all, must fly as I'm behind I'll do my best to catch up tomorrow :)
