A hungry visitor

This morning I took Poppy to Pollok Park for our weekly route march. The Highland Cows were too far away from the fence today so I had to look elsewhere for a photo.

I found a small bag of suet nuggets in my backpack and rather than leaving them to go mouldy I decided to put them on the flat stone that I like to call the bird feeding station.

So many leaves on the trees that the birds are not easily spotted. A trembling leaf is sometimes a give away and I didn't have to wait long before this hungry wee Robin appeared. A quick look about, one little nugget held in his beak and he was off.

Poppy is very good ...... she just stands perfectly still and makes not a sound.
