Maturing Canada Gosling

I haven’t seen the goslings up at the Heritage Park for many weeks but they have certainly grown to almost the same size as their parents ….. only their wings and feathers have not quite reached maturity.

There are two distinct groups … the Canada Geese and the Greylags and they find their own space on the grass. As I neared the Greylags I spotted one mum with outstretched wings on the grass …… and there tucked in beside her were her six little goslings ….. a family of late arrivals.
